In addition to the 4 methods that served as the base for the Bicycle User Experience concept, this blog will be translating more human centered design methods to the context of street design for everyday biking. These blog posts are initial explorations.
The third method we'll explore is Love Letters & Breakup Letters.
What: Personal, emotional letters people write about riding a bike on a given street or intersection, expressing their positive/negative emotions and experiences.
Why: Learn which infrastructures stand out to everyday people trying to cycle in the city (for good or bad) and how people relate to these places. Build empathy for the experiences they have while cycling there.
End Goal: Better understand what street sections lead to good or bad experiences for these people and make (design) iterations accordingly.
