In addition to the 4 methods that served as the base for the Bicycle User Experience concept, this blog will be translating more human centered design methods to the context of street design for everyday biking. These blog posts are initial explorations.
The eleventh new method we'll explore is Emotional Analysis.
What: Exploration of a user's emotional and sensory experience on a street through creation of an empathy map, which is then used to engage with relevant area stakeholders.
Why: Build empathy within stakeholders and align on visioning. Visualize and make experiences explicit.
End Goal: Take the first step (fostering empathy) in a longer people-centered design process.
(Translated to the context of street design for everyday biking from two traditional design methods/processes: Empathy Mapping (also: Stanford d.school) and Defining a Problem Statement)
